Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Review

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is a game that is a prequel to all old Prince of Persia games. This is the first major release after 2010’s Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

The game is developed and published by Ubisoft. It’s an incredible action game based on Persian mythology. This is probably the closest work to the actual Persian mythology in all of entertainment. Names of characters in the game are Persian names so the local people can easily connect with the game.

The team at Gamesmantra felt that this game is phenomenal, graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is exciting and entertaining, the story is interesting and the attacks are smooth and fluid.

It would have been great if the game was in 3d but unfortunately, it’s a 2D game, still a good game to play. This game is great for those who enjoy Hollow Knight or Metroid.

In starting of the game it can feel a little slow. But after a few hours into the game you will love it and can can even get addicted to it.

Since Ubisoft announced the game Summer Game Fest 2023, we’ve eagerly awaited its release. In our view, it represents a new dawn for the beloved franchise, for while the Sands of Time remake is sure to be a highlight, a series like this needs innovations from time to time, and The Lost Crown throws Prince of Persia into a genre that we’ve long thought it would suit.

Timeline: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was announced in June 2023 and its debut trailer received mixed reactions. The game was released on 18th January 2024.

The game is available for following platforms:

PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna.

Story: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown introduces a hero named Sargon, a young member of a warrior clan named The Immortals. Sargon must travel to the cursed city of Mount Qaf to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan.
